Do you live like you have all the time in the world?

3/28/25
For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are but the beginning of the birth pains. Matthew 24:7-8

First, we are doing well. The earthquake didn’t affect us. Thank you all for your love and concern!

At 1:30 PM on Friday, March 28, 2025, a devastating 7.7 magnitude earthquake struck Thailand and Myanmar, leading to the collapse of a high-rise building under construction in Bangkok. Hundreds of thousands were evacuated from homes and workplaces. The earthquake was followed by a strong 6.4 magnitude aftershock, felt throughout Thailand, which caused more death, damage, and chaos. As of 4/12/25, Wikipedia lists that there are: 5,390+ fatalities, 7,860+ injuries, 600+ missing as a result of the earthquake.

Hearing this shocking news stirred my heart deeply. I couldn’t help but think, “The end is closer than I realized.” It compelled me to pray fervently and share the gospel with even greater urgency. How many of those who died never had the chance to hear about Jesus and His love?

I prayed immediately for all who have been affected by this catastrophe—the grieving families who lost loved ones, whether fathers, mothers, siblings, or children. Today’s earthquake changed countless lives forever. I pray that it might lead many to seek after God, finding hope and solace in Him.

Reflecting on Matthew 24:3-14 feels like a wake-up call. None of us truly knows how much time we have left. How are we spending the days we’ve been given? Are we living with God as the center of our lives?
